MATHCOUNTS Champs! Fourteen ESA middle school students participated in the Lafayette Chapter MATHCOUNTS competition at UL last Friday. Out of ten local area teams, the ESA team of Matthew Green, Hadley DeJean, Muskaan Lodha, and Emersen Chen took first place! Emersen placed second individually against 110 competitors, and he also won second place in a head-to-head competition amongst the top six participants. All fourteen ESA team members scored well individually and represented ESA excellently. The winning team of four will compete at the Louisiana State MATHCOUNTS competition in March. Congratulations, mathletes!
