Third graders wrapped up their playground design project this week by preparing professional presentations for their clients, Lower School Head Elizabeth Pham and Lafayette Campus Facilities Manager John Cormier. The presentations included a project overview, details about their design inspiration and process, description of key features and accessibility and safety features, and a Q&A. This long-term project started with an analysis of existing playgrounds. Using critique and the iterative process over a series of prototypes, the students revised and polished their design ideas. Playground designs included slides, swings, treehouses, tunnels, pull-up bars, and even a lemonade stand!
