Coach Stuart Cornwell

Dr. Stuart Cornwell, ESA's math department chair, has coached tennis at ESA since 1996. In that time, he has led his teams to 11 state championships, as well as numerous district and regional victories. A collegiate player at Baylor University, Coach Cornwell continues to hone his own skills through participation in adult USTA leagues in Acadiana.

Says Dr. C, "I believe if you work on the fundamentals, the wins will follow – but after you do things properly fundamentally. So, winning is a by-product of good technical approach to the sport.”
