Alumni Visit

ESA alumnus Siao Eung Ly, '90 (center), visited with students to share his experiences working and living in China. After earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and a master's degree in computer information systems from Georgia State, Mr. Ly worked for Coca-Cola in Atlanta for several years before moving to Shanghai to work for a semiconductor firm. He is currently the Vice President of Information Technology in the Asia Pacific Region for Eaton Corporation, a power management company, and has earned a master's degree in public health. He shared a few lessons from his experiences: show up and participate, learn to collaborate, be persistent, determine your values and live by them, be a lifelong learner, and help to make the people and the community around you better. Thanks to Mr. Wood for hosting the talk!
