Cultural Events

Each year, National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States to honor the history, culture, art, music, literature, politics, and social contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. ESA's Spanish Club joins the yearly celebration by hosting a variety of activities. To wrap of this year's events, through the support of nachos buyers, Spanish Club invited the Rio Luminoso band to perform in chapel Wednesday. The group focuses on Spanish music, as well as French and Brazilian styles, and includes Mr. Philip Gould, father of ESA science teacher Daniel Gould, Rodrigo Muñoz and Luis Alfonso Tarazona. In chapel, the band performed songs from Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Cuba and invited everyone to dance. For the last song, one person from each grade and one faculty member competed for Falcon Cup points. Congratulations to seniors and sixth graders for the win!
