Bailey Guillotte, '25

Bailey Guillotte, '25, has been a Falcon since PK3! This year's Student Council President, Bailey also runs cross country, plays soccer and tennis, is a part of the Brent Henley Youth Leadership Program and Parish Proud, and worked for The Picard Group this summer. She thinks the people at ESA are unlike any other. "Everyone at ESA, students and faculty, just want to see you succeed," Bailey says. "I think sometimes when I tell people about how close we are with our teachers, it kind of surprises them because other schools don't have teachers that care as much about their students as we do."

Here's our Q&A with Bailey:

What makes ESA a unique school to attend?

ESA is a unique school to attend because of the amount of freedom that we are given. My favorite part of senior year is senior privilege, where the seniors are allowed to leave campus during our free periods. I think that this privilege teaches us how to handle time management and helps us to gain more responsibility for the colleges that we're about to attend.

Who has inspired you as a learner?

I'm very excited about my senior year because I was able to hand pick all of my classes and it makes me want to actually learn because my classes are teaching me about things I want to know. With my new schedule, I've been inspired by all of my teachers because I can see that the subjects I really enjoy learning are also the ones they really enjoy teaching and it makes my classes more enjoyable overall.

What has been your most challenging moment at ESA?

My most challenging moment at ESA was the entirety of my sophomore year. When I was a sophomore, I was on the cross country team for my third year and I really struggled with finding my place on the team, and in life in general, without my sister, who graduated the year before. So I struggled with sports and staying motivated, as well as struggling a little bit with motivation to do my school work, so I had to work really hard to get out of the hole I had dug myself in.

If you had a month to study anything in the world, what would you be passionate about learning?

If I had a month to study anything in the world, I would want to go to a movie set and learn about the behind-the-scenes of everything. I love the idea of being a part of the movie magic and being able to see everything that happens first hand so I would want to be involved somehow, maybe specifically in marketing or business as I'm going to business school. If I had another choice, I think I would try the NFL and go to the Kansas City Chiefs to see how they handle business and marketing in the sports world.

Thanks, Bailey!
