Membership in the Cum Laude Society is limited to no more than 20% of the graduating class, and a senior must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 4.00 at the conclusion of the fall semester, be in honorable standing, and have attended ESA for the last four consecutive semesters to be considered for membership. Each year, we also welcome a few members of the junior class into the society. Membership is limited to no more than 10% of a junior class, and a junior must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 4.20 at the conclusion of the fall semester. 

National Honor Society

Membership is limited to no more than 15% of a sophomore class, 25% of a junior class, and 35% of a senior class based on GPA.

To be eligible, students must have completed or be enrolled in Algebra II, and must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA in mathematics courses corresponding to academic year: 4.0 for freshmen, 3.8 for sophomores, and 3.6 for juniors.

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. To earn the Seal of Biliteracy, students must

1.  achieve the B2 DELF or DELE,
2.  earn an Intermediate-High on a national proficiency exam, e.g., AAPPL, STAMP, etc.,
3. score a 4+ on a World Language AP or IB exam.
